The Supervisor of the Coconino National Forest wanted to create a productive and satisfying work environment for his employees. Mary Orton was one of five facilitators who developed and implemented a process that identified workplace issues among Forest employees, ranked the issues in terms of priority among the employees, and produced five concrete actions that could be implemented by the Supervisor. The group also initiated implementation planning for each of the five issues. This process was completed in one day with the participation of approximately 100 employees.
